Public transport tickets and fares in Rijeka

City and suburban buses in Rijeka and nearby municipalities are run by KD Autotrolej. The network has four zones (zone 1 is the city of Rijeka), and monthly and annual passes are loaded on the RCC Torpedo card.

How to pay

The cheapest option is digital tickets in the RCC Mobility app, activated before boarding and shown to the driver. Two-ride tickets are sold at the Autotrolej office (Jelačićev trg 3) and at Tisak and iNovine kiosks; the driver sells single-ride tickets.

Free and discounted travel

Free or discounted travel usually requires residence in the city and a card issued by the city or the operator:

Annual pass for people aged 65+, by income: €14.50 (up to €470 a month) to €100 (over €930)
The City of Rijeka announced free city transport for people aged 65+ from 1 July 2025; the Autotrolej website still lists the income-based pass, so check the conditions with the operator
