Public transport service change due to construction works on the tunnel link (Phase 1)

The Secretariat for Public Transport informs the public that preparatory works have begun on the construction of part of the tunnel link from Karađorđeva Street to Dunavska padina – Phase 1.

The works cover Jovana Avakumovića Street (the 110-metre section from Bulevar despota Stefana towards Poenkareova Street) and Bulevar despota Stefana (the 450-metre section from Dragoslava Srejovića Street to Kralja Dragutina Street).

The following changes and roadway closures are in force on these sections:

• Full closure to traffic of Jovana Avakumovića Street on the section in question.

• Closure of the right (yellow) traffic lane in Bulevar despota Stefana (from Dragoslava Srejovića to Kralja Dragutina), looking towards the city centre. The remaining free lane on this section becomes a yellow lane – reserved exclusively for public transport vehicles.

Changes to public transport lines

• Lines 33 and 48:

  • Towards Kumodraž and Miljakovac: from the terminus „Železnička stanica (Pančevački most)“ – Poenkareova to the roundabout at the intersection with Jovana Avakumovića Street (where vehicles change direction) – Poenkareova towards Pančevački most – the M-1.9 link (between Poenkareova and Bulevar despota Stefana) – Bulevar despota Stefana – Mitropolita Petra and then along their regular routes.

  • Towards Pančevački most: Bulevar despota Stefana – Cvijićeva – Poenkareova to the terminus „Železnička stanica (Pančevački most)“.

• Line 58:

  • Towards Železnik: from the terminus „Železnička stanica (Pančevački most)“ – Poenkareova – Cvijićeva – Bulevar despota Stefana and then along the regular route.

  • Towards Pančevački most: Vehicles operate along their regular route.

• Line 96:

  • Towards Borča: from the terminus „Železnička stanica (Pančevački most)“ – Poenkareova to the roundabout at the intersection with Jovana Avakumovića Street (where vehicles change direction) – Poenkareova towards Pančevački most – the M-1.9 link (between Poenkareova and Bulevar despota Stefana) – Bulevar despota Stefana and then along the regular route.

  • Towards Pančevački most: Bulevar despota Stefana – Cvijićeva – Poenkareova to the terminus „Železnička stanica (Pančevački most)“.

Stop changes

• ❌ Stop suspension: Temporarily suspended: the stop „Jovana Avakumovića“ in Bulevar despota Stefana (in front of the MUP building), in the direction towards the city.

• 🚌 Temporary stop: In the direction towards the city, vehicles on lines 33, 48 and 96 will temporarily use the stop „Železnička stanica (Dunav)“ (stop code: #709), which is normally used by line 44 as its departure stop.
