In short
- New Rača crossing opening between December 15-19, 2026
- Works on A3 until December 25; unified opening date for entire highway not confirmed
- Sava bridge and roadway completed; signalization being installed
The new integrated border crossing Rača on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina should start operating between December 15-19, 2026. The Kuzmin–Sremska Rača highway section, approximately 18 kilometers long, will connect the Belgrade–Zagreb highway with a branch towards Bijeljina.
What happens until December 25?
Works on fitting the access and exit ramps of the new highway into the existing A3 motorway are planned until December 25 at 18:00. These works are being carried out between the Adaševci and Kuzmin junctions. However, this deadline does not mean the opening of the entire highway.
What is ready
The bridge over the Sava is structurally completed, the roadway is asphalted, barriers are installed, and signalization is underway. Work on the junctions is mostly finished, as are the ancillary structures. The continuation of the highway from Rača to Bijeljina should be completed by the end of 2027.
