BG Voz — the complete guide to the city railway

BG Voz runs on four lines that partly overlap through the central corridor:

• Batajnica – Ovča (through Novi Beograd and the centre)
• Lazarevac – Ovča (the longest, linking suburban settlements)
• Resnik – Zemun
• Resnik – Ovča

BG Voz is part of Belgrade’s free public transport system — since 1 January 2025 rides are free for all passengers, with no ticket and no validation. You simply board the train.

Unlike buses, the train follows a fixed timetable with relatively sparse departures — so knowing the EXACT departure time from your station is key. On busevi.rs open the “Trains” section: pick your station and you get every departure in both directions, plus a projection of upcoming arrivals.

Mind the notes next to some departures — a few do not run at weekends.

The train wins on longer rides along the railway corridor:

• Travelling along the rail corridor (Zemun/Batajnica ↔ centre ↔ Ovča or Resnik)? The train is often 2–3× faster than a bus at rush hour.
